On July 31, 2020, the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association (AILA) and other organizations filed a preliminary injunction to stop President Trump’s immigration ban (Proclamation Suspending Entry of Aliens Who Present a Risk to the U.S. Labor Market Following the Coronavirus Outbreak).
If granted, the injunction would prohibit the Trump administration from denying immigrant and non-immigrant visas and suspending entry into the United States to people who are otherwise eligible under federal law.
